Yeah, here is my twist to a résumé, this is my un-résumé… a collection of commentary for each section which is totally true… but more or less useless for an employer.
| Andrew Lee 312 N 80TH ST SEATTLE, WA 98103 206.913.3597 andrew.lee@neque.com PROFILE A training professional at a marketing agency, based out of California. I accidentally fell into this career, demonstrating science topics to elementary groups at the Pacific Science Center, then working as a Field Marketing Associate at Creative Labs, Inc. All this led me to The Eleven Agency, specifically on the Microsoft account, working as part of their field training team. EXPERIENCE Senior Training Specialist The Eleven Agency, is by far one of the best places to work at. With over two years under my belt, I dare say, if I could work at one company for the rest of my career, this would be it. Flying over 100,000 miles a year, it’s a tough job, but my time there has helped Microsoft, T-Mobile and HTC launch and train a great many number of products. Since starting this career, I have owned over two dozen cell phones, three laptops, two more work assigned, and worked with the most awesome group of people here at the agency, as well as at Microsoft. Field Marketing Associate When I worked at Creative Labs, I learned a great deal about the retail environment. I did not have a clear idea of what this channel provided, but looking at it not, it was an experience I would not trade in for. I learned a great deal about sound, and speakers especially. Getting paid to talk to people about technology was a blessing, and frequently, I spent a great deal of money and time to network, which has paid off in droves. I helped grow the brand, and it was a shame that this career path is no longer available, as the positions have since been phased out. Information Services Monkey One of my more memorable, and still continuing jobs, is at a production house called One Reel. Each year, they produce a major Seattle event called Bumbershoot, as well as year round, a show called Teatro ZinZanni. It was memorable because of the great people who worked there, who had fun constantly, and smiled no matter what was going on. I met some of the coolest people, who I still talk to today. I felt so blessed, that I make myself available to come back as a returning member of their festival staff, my little way to giving back to this great non-profit organization. EDUCATION The University of Washington is the insitution for which I obtained an Economics degree. I loved economics, and while my time could have been spent at the Business School, I decided not to prusue it, in favor of this more obscure science. I was drawn to the reasons why a person would choose widget A over widget B, and the cost/benefit ratio that leads people into it. I spent a great deal of time with Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional business fraternity, much to the shagrin of my ex-girlfriend, who at the same time, was in Delta Sigma Pi, the direct competition. While my grades weren’t stunning, they were good, just not stunning; I managed to spend time on the courses, which to this day, have shaped my career decision, and have left a impact on the way I approach things today. TECHNICAL SKILLS I have spent a great deal of my life around technology. Here is a short list of techonologies which have helped me be the person today. Windows 95-Vista, NT/Server 3.51-2003, Mac OS 9-10.5, Office 2000-2007, Windows Mobile, Windows Live Services, Adobe Photoshop 7-CS3, Camtasia 5, Norton Ghost. Apple iWork, iLife & Aperture. Sony PlayStation, PS2, PS3; Microsoft Xbox, Xbox 360; Nintendo SNES, 64, GameCube and Wii. |
